November 2011 update

Dear friends and customers,

due to private reasons I call it a day now and stop building bodhráns to order.
I might continue to build one or the other drum in the future
and offer it on my website, so stay tuned.
Many thanks to all people who supported my work!

I will however continue to build the best tippers and hotrods for you.

The bodhrán is a special kind of frame drum native to Ireland. It is played using one hand, a stick, hotrod, or brush, while the sound of the skin is altered by the use of the other hand.

The playing technique as well as the construction of the instrument took a vast development over the past few decades and is still in full progress. On a modern bodhrán advanced players are able to simulate the sounds of a full drumkit.
