Welcome !

The bodhrán is a special kind of frame drum native to Ireland. It is played using one hand, a stick, hotrod, or brush, while the sound of the skin is altered by the use of the other hand.

The playing technique as well as the construction of the instrument took a vast development over the past few decades and is still in full progress. On a modern bodhrán, like the ones you´ll find here, advanced players are able to simulate the sounds of a full drumkit.

!!!!!!! NEW !!!!!!!

I developed a mid-priced high quality drum with a simple hand-tuning mechanism using my self-designed and -produced wooden three-star knobs that faciliate turning.

I called it the "Workman". The higher-priced drums with the lever tunig system have the "Artist" label.

See Eamon Murray play a solo on an "Artist" drum built by me !

I´m also playing on one of my drums with my band "Sionnach"
